Mercilon

Mercilon is a low-dose combined oral contraceptive pill used to prevent pregnancy. It contains two active ingredients: ethinylestradiol 20 micrograms and desogestrel 150 micrograms. Mercilon works by stopping ovulation, thickening cervical mucus to block sperm, and changing the womb lining to lower pregnancy chances. Because it is low-dose, many women find it gentle and safe.
